TLC-eligible plaintiff and criminal defense lawyers do not have to sit back and wait for the usual defense or prosecution Daubert strike. The same gatekeeping rules that have been used for years to attack our experts apply with equal force to theirs. By mastering Daubert and its progeny (often codified in Rule 702), you can flip the script: expose result‑driven opinions, analytical gaps, junk methodologies, and experts wandering outside their lane, then move to exclude or tightly limit that testimony before a jury ever hears it. When the motion lands, the tables turn—suddenly the hospital has no causation expert, or the state’s star forensic witness is sidelined or boxed into a tiny corner. This webinar will focus on how TLC‑style story, cross, and emotional truth combine with Daubert’s technical framework to take away the other side’s “science” and put you in the strongest possible trial position.

<publishDate>Mon, 09 Feb 2026 18:19 -0500</publishDate><date>02/09/2026</date>6:19 pm<location>Zoom</location>

Sep 16, 2026: TLC Social Meet Up - Denver!

An opportunity to reconnect with TLC board members, TLC alumni, future TLC alumni and the TLC executive director.
In this interactive 90-minute webinar, participants will explore the first essential step of TLC voir dire: identifying danger points. Led in the style of a TLC small group, this program will invite participants to work with real case material, engage with the group, and examine why identifying danger points is crucial to making the remaining steps of voir dire work. They demand a lawyer who can uncover the full human impact of the injury and present that truth with clarity, courage, and authenticity. In this immersive, in-person program, participants will use Trial Lawyers College methods—including psychodrama, role reversal, reenactment, and storytelling—to explore their clients’ lives before and after the injury and identify the deepest losses at the heart of the case.

Participants will strengthen their ability to develop the case, connect with clients, prepare witnesses, and bring the human story into voir dire, opening statement, direct examination, and closing argument. Lawyers will leave better prepared to move beyond medical facts and economic damages, reveal what was truly taken from their clients, and advocate for full and meaningful justice.

Due to the intimate nature of this training, registration will be capped at 20 students.
